About This Plant

Jamaican Strongback, or Desmodium incanum, is a low-growing, spreading legume used in Caribbean folk medicine to support energy, strength, and stamina. It is a nitrogen-fixing groundcover with delicate pink-lavender blooms that attract pollinators. The plant thrives in hot, dry conditions and serves as both a medicinal herb and a soil-enricher, making it suitable for herbal gardens, Caribbean collections, and groundcover applications.
