About This Plant
Pisang Ceylon is an improved, virus-free variety of Mysore banana. It grows 10 to 20 feet tall with a sturdy root system, moderate cold resistance, and produces small, high-quality lady finger bananas. Fruit is 4–5 inches long, light yellow, thin-skinned, very sweet and creamy with long shelf life. Leaves have black and maroon markings; young leaves are pinkish copper underneath with a red midvein and red coloration on the pseudostem.
